Theater Dance focuses on theatrical jazz dancing from musical comedy productions such as Annie, Peter Pan, and Grease. Also incorporated in classes is an age-appropriate style of hip-hop that allows students to expand their limits and enjoy their bodies.

Intro to Jazz/Hip Hop 

This is the perfect class for those who are interested in musical theater! The Beginning Theater Dance provides the basics for young students, teaching them dances to traditional Broadway musicals. All music is clean, and a safe and supportive environment is provided. As hip-hop begins to be incorporated into classes, teachers take time to make sure all steps and moves are not offensive and remain age-appropriate. 

For 5th graders and up, this intermediate class improves, advances, and adds to techniques learned in CRDA's beginner class. Students spend more time advancing their knowledge of classical jazz and expanding their hip hop repertoire. This class  bridges the gap between various dance genres to create a more fluid and creative environment.

Dates and Times of Classes

Intro to Theater Dance (Kindergarten and 1st grade)- Thursday 5:45 to 6:30

Intro to Hip Hop  (Kindergarten and 1st grade)- Thursday 6:30 to 7:15

Beginning Theater Dance/Hip Hop (2nd through 4th grades)- Tuesday 6:45 to 7:45

Intermediate Theater Dance/Hip Hop (5th grade and up)- Tuesday 7:45 to 8:45
